For some of us, it’s getting to be outdoor cooking weather. The next time you fire up the grill, cook these onions on the grill as a side. They go with EVERYTHING grilled. The best part is they are so tasty and so easy it’s ridiculous.
Peel onion and cut out a small hole in the top. Take a slice off the bottom so the onion can sit level.
Cram one beef boullion cube in the cut out.
Add a tad of butter to the top.
Fresh ground black pepper goes on next.
Wrap them up in tight little aluminum foil packages. Throw them on the grill and bake until nice and soft. It will take about 30 minutes. Or, you can bake in the oven. Just keep testing them for softness. These onions are average size. If you get some humongous onions, you might want to use two bullion cubes per onion.
