My best Christmas memories are when we lived on the farm and the grandchildren, now grown, would come to visit at Christmas.

Christmas has many memories. I cherish being in church each Christmas eve with my family. especially everyone holding lighted candles in the dark sanctuary singing Silent Night.
And there was the year we told the boys on Christmas day right after opening gifts that we were leaving for Disney World in 2 hours!
Jan Williams says
This is a memory that made the biggest impact on my life….When I was about 10 years old, we had a Christmas Program at Church that talked about Xmas – leaving Christ out of Christmas. To this day (I’m 59 now) I refuse to write anything but Christmas, because Jesus is truly the reason for the season!

I love every single book they publish!! I cook everything at least once!

Christmas 1976,our first daughter was born 2 days earlier. Best food ever was delivered by my mother-in-law, the BEST cook and person ever on Christmas eve. Something about how she makes potato salad! Christmas has been at her house every year for more than 30 years! Always great family and food, however slow for the kids waiting until dinner is over to unwrap presents. Some uncles have seconds or thirds.

ONE MEMORY WAS THE YEAR A GOT A HUGH (4 FOOT) TIGER. I HAD WANTED IT FOR EVER. KEPT IT FOR YEARS.

One of my best Christmas memories was when I was younger and Dad would load mom and all seven kids in the hay wagon and we go for a ride in the woods looking for that perfect tree.
Mom would bring cookies and hot cocoa for us to keep us occupied. later Dad would make popcorn so that mom and us kids could make the strings of popcorn for the tree, however dad would have to make extra popcorn because we would eat it faster than it got strung. Now I think i am ready to cry.

I love your cookbooks! I used one of your recipes from Get-togethers with Gooseberry Patch. We were snowed in one Christmas and couldn’t get to my mom’s in a neighboring town. We knew the snow was coming so stocked up on food and had a great time cooking a Christmas breakfast. We stayed in our pajamas all day, watched movies, played with the new toys and watched the snow blowing outside. It’s my favorite Christmas memory.

My favorite Christmas memory was hearing my sweet mother, who is now in Heaven, whistle Christmas carols while preparing Christmas dinner every year for our family. Oh, how I miss hearing her whistle! She loved the holidays and her precious family!!!

A favortie Christmas memory of mine is a candle light Christmas Eve service at church at which my husband, daughter, and myself sang a Christmas song as a trio. It was a very touching moment for me.

Best Christmas memories are of when all three of us sisters and our families would all gather at my mom and dad’s for opening gifts and the big dinner after. Those days are gone now but the sweet memories linger on.

Some of my favorite Christmas memories are watching Christmas movies together, doing a Jesse tree with my kids when they were little, and my husband reading to us from Luke 2 every Christmas morning.

My favorite Christmas memories are the first 8 Christmas’ of my life because they had my mom in them…I lost her when I was 9 a few months before Christmas…. I always remember her putting on Christmas music and then decorating the tree, and then when we were done we would have a cup of hot chocolate with marshmellow cream….mmmm the best!!
