Blueberry Cream Biscuits with Blueberry Lime Butter is an easy biscuit recipe that’s sure to win the hearts of many.
My husband and I have a bowl of berries with our breakfast almost every morning. The composition might change, somewhat, according to what’s available. We love our berries fresh without any added sugar or honey. We always look for Wish Farms berries and will choose them over another brand because they’re consistently good. They’re good for baking, too. I used Wish Farms blueberries to whip up some Blueberry Cream Biscuits with Blueberry Lime Butter.
Bite into a biscuit and ready yourself for a gentle explosion of flavor from the bursting blueberries. The biscuits have just the right touch of sweetness from Wish Farms blueberries. The compound butter has a balance of flavor with sweetness from jam contrasted by lime zest and juice.
As if the flavor of these berry biscuits aren’t enough to convince you to make them, the technique is even better. The biscuit batter is dropped onto a baking sheet. There’s no rolling or cutting required, only stirring and scooping.
Make a batch of these biscuits and butter and you’ll be considered a supah stah.
Wish Farms is a three-generation, family owned supplier of berries located in the same county where I reside. I’m happy to support local businesses anytime I get a chance.
Think about it for a minute Who wouldn’t be gobsmacked when they receive a basket of fresh baked biscuits with speciality butter to go along use of them?
Everybody loves good biscuits. Some folks are under the mistaken impression they’re hard to make. Even novice bakers shouldn’t be intimidated by drop biscuits. If you can stir and scoop, you can make drop biscuits.
Compound butter is something I make often. It’s simple to whip up and adds a little pizzazz to whatever you’re serving. Compound butter is nothing in the world more than softened butter with sweet or savory flavors mixed in. For the Blueberry Cream Biscuits, I whipped up Blueberry Lime Butter. The biscuits aren’t overly sweet and the sweet and tart butter adds an additional layer of flavor to an already delicious biscuit.
Make Blueberry Cream Biscuits with Blueberry Lime Butter for your mother, aunt, next door neighbor, best friend, and mail carrier. Because, the biscuits are full of flavor and you’re a very fine individual who does nice things for people.

2 cups (level) soft winter wheat self-rising flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
6 ounces fresh Wish Farm blueberries, washed and stemmed

demerara (raw cane sugar) for sprinkling
Add flour and cinnamon (if using) to a large bowl.
Gently fold in blueberries until they’re coated with flour.
