A refreshing beverage is a treat in any season but they’re most appreciated in the summer. Everyone enjoys a rocking chair on the porch with a summer sipping cold beverage in their hand. I’ve teamed up with Equal® 0-Calorie Sweetener to bring you a delightful beverage in celebration of National Lemonade Day, August 20, and a chance to win a prize package from Equal®.
The contest is closed! Congratulations to Connie L. who won the prize package.
For more than 30 years, Equal® has added sweetness to America’s favorite beverages and recipes with its trusted “blue” packets. It’s a great-tasting alternative to sugar. In addition to coffee and tea, Equal® can also replace sugar in many of your favorite food and beverage recipes.
I received a “National Lemonade Day” kit filled with items to help recreate Blackberry Sparkling Lemonade created by The Diabetic Chef® Chris Smith, who has partnered with Equal to create this special recipe. I tweaked Chef Smith’s recipe just a touch to make it more blackberry-ish. You just can’t have too much blackberry in your life and I’m not talking about the communication device.
So, in addition to the great recipe I’m going to share, here’s a chance to win a “National Lemonade Day” kit similar to the one I received that contained:
- Equal® mason jar-style plastic drinking glass
- Skinny Pop popcorn
- Dark Blue folding hand fan
- Joie lemon juicer
- Tovolo King ice cube tray
- Equal® Product
- Blackberry Sparkling Lemonade Recipe Card from The Diabetic Chef® Chef Chris Smith
- Equal® Recipe Guide Booklet
- Equal® iPad holder (open it up to find a stand you can use to easily prop up your tablet or favorite recipe book)!
The contest is closed. Congratulations to Connie L. who won the prize package.
It’s as easy as pie to enter this contest. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post (not on social media) and tell me what your favorite snack is to eat with lemonade.
The contest is open now and will continue through August 27, 2015 at midnight. A winner will be randomly selected, notified by email and will have 24 hours to respond.
Enjoy National Lemonade Day and don’t forget to enter this contest.
