Cranberry Oatmeal. Fresh cranberries and brown sugar form a lite syrup and are added to quick cook oatmeal for a delightful breakfast.

Cranberry Oatmeal


  • Cranberry Oatmeal
  • yield: two servings
  • A wonderful fall treat for breakfast.
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup quick cook oatmeal
  • honey


  • Place water, brown sugar, cranberries and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Let boil, uncovered, until the cranberries start to pop.
  • Stir in oatmeal and reduce to medium heat.
  • Cook for 1 minute, stirring occassionally.
  • Cover, remove from heat and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Pour into a bowl. Drizzle with honey.
  • Serve hot.
