I have not been to our Kentucky State Fair in years, mainly because the crowds are overwhelming and the heat and humidity (in late August) just drains the life out of me. I enjoyed your tour of the Florida State Fair. I think the reason the gentleman with the mule remembered you out of all those people is because you took the time to talk to him and tell him a little about yourself.

I haven’t been to a state fair in over 15 years, but all of the memories came rushing back when I read about your trip to the fair. My husband also hates, hates lines but a beautiful day like today might have made him more patient at the fair.

Thanks Jackie for a wonderful description of the fair. Now I feel as though I have been there, enjoying every minute from the comfortable chair in my office, without fighting the crowds and giving in, to the hawking of the food vendors. Thank you so much for doing that for me!

So very well done in covering the Fair, makes me want some of that tasty but not so good for the waist line groceries that you pictured and described. I am not a big fan of most of that food except when I’m at the Fair then it’s Katie-bar-the-door!!!!
