Jane,

Thank you for your opinion regarding Mary Mac's. I haven't been there but the last few people who have mentioned it didn't speak favorably. I hope the restaurant has worked out all of it's issues and will be able to resume the same level of good quality food and services that patrons have come to expect. We will make it point to go there. We are usually just "passing through" Atlanta on the way to somewhere else. In that case, we are trying to get away from Atlanta as quickly as possible so we won't get caught in the traffic.

Just came back home from Atlanta where my husband & I paid a visit to Mary Mac's. We found the service to be friendly & the food to be comfort at its best!!! Very few places serve fresh ingredients at affordable prices that a family can enjoy. If you have not visited Mary Mac's, put it on your short list. If you have you know what I'm talking about ~ outstanding food & service & the need to want to go back again!

Thanks for visiting Taylor Made Home. I am so glad that you did because I am loving your blog. Growing up in the south for most of my life has given me a deep appreciation for good ol' southern cooking!

Sounds like a great cookbook! The black eyed pea cakes peeked my interests ... never heard of making fritters with black eyed peas before . I am so going to try the corn and bacon chowder when our corn comes in.. might be awhile.. it's only about 3 inches tall right now.. I'll wait .
I'm going to have to find you on Facebook ! I could use a good meatloaf recipe.
I love the cookbook review and as always you make me want to run out and buy the cookbook to add to my collection. I think my mom would love this cookbook as well.. might have to get it as a gift for her .
Have a great weekend, Ginger :)
