Hi Jackie,
Commenting on the plate you have in the picture of the cinnamon toast. I have these and have been looking for some pieces. These date back to the fifties. Do you have any information on these?

Isn’t this method unbelievably good? I love compound butters and make a lot of them. They add so much to so many dishes. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment! 🙂

My grandmother made cinnamon toast like this but I’ve never know another person who did! I saw a similar recipe in an English cookbook once so maybe it’s an English method. At any rate, it’s the BEST! Thanks 🙂

The blog posts will still go to your email and those will be my longer stories plus a recipe. For the recipes that I would normally post on a FB note, I will start posting them on Wordpress as pages. FB is just getting a little too quirky to suit me.

I was just sayin’ to myself, I wonder if there’s a new post up on Syrup and Biscuits … and poof there it was ! ; )
My girls and I absolutely adore cinnamon toast ! We can eat it for breakfast , lunch, dinner and snack time . I already have this recipe from Pioneer Woman’s blog , but still haven’t tried it..I guess I forget when I am being rushed into making the girls their cinnamon toast. I think I might make some up the night before and have it ready to go when I hear the girls coming for breakfast.
I’m off to mix some up and get dinner going … tonight it’s homemade calzones ..yum
