Blueberry Buttermilk Belgium Waffles
I really wasn’t trying to go for a triple “B” with this recipe. It just worked out that way. I whipped these up for my son for breakfast at 12:34 pm. College kids and their crazy sleep/wake cycles. The recipe made two perfect 7 inch Belgium waffles. Just right for one hungry boy. Disclaimer: none of the measurements were measured. Everything was eye-balled because that’s how I roll.
1 cup Bisquick (one of my FAVORITES)
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon buttermilk
Pinch of cinnamon
1/2 cup fresh blueberries just picked from the bush in your backyard. Frozen blueberries work well, too.
Mix all Biscquick, buttermilk, egg and cinnamon. One the batter is mixed well, add blueberries and stir. Follow waffle makers instruction. I have a Waring Pro Professional Waffle Maker. I need to add that to my Favorites, too. Thanks for the reminder!
