Martie,

Happy 2016!

Some of the popular posts do surprise me, especially the ones with my beginning photography attempts. My photos were awful in the beginning. Some are down right embarrassing to me but it doesn't seem to deter folks from reading the articles. This flies in the face of what many "experts" will tell you. They say you must have great photo images. While my photography has improved since I started food writing in 2011, those old posts with horrible photos are still some of the most popular. Go figure.

Well it looks like you had a good year! Isn't it funny how we get surprised by things? If I expect folks to really like a blog post that I've worked really hard on, it doesn't get much love. Let me throw one up on a whim, and it gets views for days! Lol! Just the way of the world, I guess. Love your blog, love your recipes! I'm diving into those chicken and dumplings next!! :)

Jackie I just love your news letters along with your recipes, and what would a recipe be from you without your stories attached to them? Oh and to me, fried apples is a desert! Thank you for that recipe, we makimple is the best! Maybe you don't get thanked enough for the hard work that goes into making your news letter and facebook page and keeping up with twitter, but you are appreciated
