Everyone needs a good “go-to” chili recipe. Chili is versatile and can be modified in many different ways. I make a White Chicken Chili, too. 🙂

I make a really simple chili when I make it. It ha few ingredients but is so good. I love reading all the different ways to make it. My mother made it my way.

Great story. 9/11 changed the world forever, but like you said no need to dwell !Like your header reads Sweet. Simple. Sustaining. This recipe keeps it simple and looks just as good.

Dear, sweet Emma Ann,

You are such a joy. It’s up to folks like us to spread around good cheer. I do believe that the human spirit is inherently sweet. But life hasn’t been kind to some people and they become hardened and bitter. I’m not an idealistic hippie chick who thinks we can solve all the ills in the world just by loving everybody. Reality is much harsher than that, unfortunately. I choose the focus on the positives and all the good fortunes and blessings that have come my way. It delights me to know that you are of the same mentality. Who knows how many people we can influence to come out of the darkness and take on a bright attitude?

To comment on how America is divided now….I try not to get caught up in it and its easy to do. I try to look at good things and read good things. What always brings a tear to my eye is Extreme Makeover Home Edition. It makes me thankful that I have a roof over my head and makes me also thankful that there are people out there who have a loving spirit and are willing to do for and share with others. Gives me hope that the human race is not all bad. I agree that 9 11 brought us together as we had not been there for a long time. Maybe we can be that way again.
PS the chili looks good too!
