Christmas Eve Supper 2011 and My Christmas Wish
Christmas Eve is an important night for my family. We all attend church together and have our family Christmas. I put together dishes that can be made in advance to cut down on the hustle and bustle. Plus, this is one night I don’t want to spend in the kitchen. I want dishes that are easy, informal and good. The meal is served buffet style.
I prepared all the food early in the day. Swiss and Ham pie, orange slices, grape salad and the tomatoes will be wrapped and kept in the refrigerator. I’ll take the tomatoes out as we are leaving for church and let them come to room temperature. As soon as we arrived back home, I’ll reheat the Swiss and Ham Pies.

Sometimes life isn’t kind and the goodness is overshadowed with bitterness and fear, but, we still believe in the basic goodness of people.
